Writing Coaching

Looking for a writing mentor?

I’m Rose, a multi-published Australian writer and editor. With a Master of Arts in Creative Writing (including book editing), and graduate and postgraduate studies in language and literature, I offer a fresh creative coaching experience that delivers results.

I’m also the author and ghostwriter of several books for some big brands in Australia, including Lisa Messenger’s Collective Hub. One book is in the process of being published, and I’m currently finishing my travel fiction novel.

With twenty years of studies and experience behind me, I know it takes time and technique to shape exceptional writing: so hopefully, that’s why you’re choosing me as your coach.

Why I believe in coaching

Why do I believe every writer needs a teacher, mentor and editor? Because I needed excellent teachers to get where I am today – and so did every published, award-winning book author you’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering in your favourite book store.

I took the time to study the intricacies of writing. I enrolled in some of the best academic institutions in Australia. And I was mentored personally by authors with PhDs in creative writing and decades of publishing experience.

Everything took off from here, including an editing career and the creation of HeartWriting. Today, I write for myself, I ghost write for businesses, and I teach others how to achieve success with their writing. I have 15 years of experience as a senior-level high school teacher, plus many years of experience teaching adults.

My promise to you is achieving exceptional, powerful, and accurate words that can make lasting change in a tedious world.

What Writing Coaching Includes

For each mentoring month, my role is to offer ideas, strategy, grammar, editing, and detailed feedback for one piece of writing up to 3000 words. Perhaps this forms part of a major project, like a novel – or perhaps you are seeking coaching in one focus area, such as grammar.

– Developmental advice on one draft piece of writing (up to 3000 words)

–Feedback/ techniques to sharpen style, voice, grammar, form, characters, etc

–Structural editing and line editing on final draft (proofed and ready to publish)

–WhatsApp/ Zoom coaching up to one hour total, depending on project needs.
