Located on the Central Coast of NSW, I teach a gentle Hatha yoga style that utilises traditional postures, slow movement and deep holds, combined with Indian and Western philosophy.
Relaxation is the essence of healing. Our fast-paced lifestyles, filled with the pressure of high performance, create stress and dis-ease within the body and mind. By learning deconditioning and healing practices such as movement and meditation, we can unwind the damage that stress can inflict while learning to live and relate to others from a peaceful, open heart.
Yoga and meditation are also profoundly conducive to the creative process. I have used these techniques for years with my writing students with incredible results. You can learn more about theta brainwaves and the creative ‘flow state’ on my podcast – subscribe below for all the updates.
my training
I practised yoga for 10 years before commencing hatha teacher training under John Olgilvie at the Byron Yoga Centre in 2016. I’ve also studied a variety of meditation practices, but I always return to Hridaya: awakening the spiritual heart.
I have taught hatha, yin, vinyasa and meditation classes at several yoga studios in NSW, including the Yoga Collective Terrigal.
