For some reason, so many of you think that writing is a magical, innate, solo journey. That you either ‘have it’ or you don’t. But what if you just need a teacher, time, technique, community – and heart connection?
(even though it’s hard to know where to turn for real human help in a world of AI!)
Equipped with a Master of Arts in creative writing, a former career as magazine editor, a decade of spirituality and awakening, and working as a ghostwriter for Lisa Messenger… plus taking hundreds of students through my holistic and academic writing courses – I know that this course is going to be a gift of strategy and awakening.
And how do you plan that book so that you can do it justice – to fall lovingly into the hands of the world?
This course is designed to give you the structure, tools and heart to get the project started – because as you may already have realised, it’s a very daunting task to write a book.
Especially on your own!
Filled with strategy, structure, sharing, writing time, and fun, this course is a great refresher for those who haven’t looked at their books for a while… and a brilliant start for those who haven’t braved their dream project yet.
There’s a book tugging at your heartstrings — but turning that knowing into a clear, grounded plan can feel overwhelming. This three-week live course is designed to give you the structure, tools, and heart you need to finally begin.
Across three 1.5-hour online workshops, you’ll clarify what your heart truly wants to write, explore who your book is for, and learn how to shape your ideas into a coherent, compelling structure. We’ll look at real examples of book ‘shapes’ and impact, and learn how to link chapters together so your book feels like a journey, not a jumble.
We’ll experiment with practical planning methods — from post-it-note mapping to simple digital systems — and start drafting a living outline or book proposal you can keep evolving. Every session begins with meditation and gentle movement for deep connection, then moves into teaching, guided prompts, solo planning time, and optional sharing within a warm HeartWriting community.
If you’re ready to stop circling your book and start building it (with heart) this course is for you.

I've been updating all my guided meditations in the Ten Days of HeartWriting Course... often I take my best meditations from my level 1 course, and edit them down with licenced music to create the perfect track for you to enjoy anytime in the app. These meditations from the live course have a palpable magic…
The Literature and Magic of Advanced HeartWriting This audio recording began as an audio message to my current students, but it’s really for any writer who wants to deepen their craft, expand their worldview, and write work that genuinely changes people. I start by speaking honestly about being unwell lately — and how that shook…
This is one of the most handy podcasts I've made – and the most real. This is how my life looks every day. One thing I haven't spoken about here is the adjustment to working from home and the loneliness inherent in working from a laptop. I wish I had talked about this more –…
