The Ark Retreat Centre is a spiritual and intimate venue, well-known in Ubud, and full of spiritual magic. This isn’t just a public hotel – it’s a designated spiritual retreat centre and our own private home during our stay. Each living space is filled with tarot cards, crystals and candles to help you drop deeply into the reason you booked your ticket in the first place.
Just 500 metres from the main street, yet nestled in the jungle and surrounded by greenery, monkeys, plaintain squirrels, frogs and birdsong, the grounds were recently renovated to ensure ultimate comfort and quality.
There are six gorgeous twin share rooms on site, along with two private rooms (most rooms are now taken). All rooms are air-conditioned, with daily servicing, including fresh flowers placed on beds, gemstones, oil diffusers, and thoughtful Balinese touches that give the space a warm sense of care. The beds and linen are particularly comfortable and high quality, designed for deep rest after full days.
The grounds are surprisingly diverse, hosting a variety of stunning group circle locations, as well as gorgeous nooks and day beds for private writing. You’ll find pockets of stillness tucked between the trees, alongside a large pool, a yoga shala, a fire pit, and calming views of the mountains.
All meals are an absolute treat: a spread of delicious vegetarian Indonesian cuisine, decorated with elaborate flower arrangements, in a beautiful open-air dining room overlooking the jungle. The air softens as the day winds down, and dinnertime is really something else. Tea and coffee are available in the dining area 24/7. Fresh fruit is served in the afternoon, though we do recommend bringing a few of your own snacks.
You’ll receive a special drink and treat on arrival at 2:45pm on the 24th of June as a warm welcome into the space. That evening, everyone will receive a fresh coconut before dinner, and you can purchase coconuts from the team anytime throughout your stay. Want more? There is an infrared sauna and an ice bath beside the stunning swimming pool overlooking the mountains. We’ll fill the ice bath and take turns once there’s interest from more than six people.
And as a sweet and special treat, tucked within the grounds is our private massage parlour, where you will receive a 30-minute massage, before floating to one of the famous Balinese daybeds to write more words – and dream.

Note: This is an intimate venue, well-known in Ubud, and full of spiritual magic. For this reason, there aren’t enough rooms in this venue to offer more than two solo options. Everyone loved sharing last year – each pair formed amazing and lifelong friendships, and Rose is renowned for bringing the right people together.

The ticket without accommodation includes everything the retreat offers: all meals and activities. The retreat cannot be divided into days or activities. It is designed as a deep, progressive and immersive experience with the whole group. from start to finish.
